Guided Hikes

Lodge guests are welcome to join us for free guided hikes scheduled throughout the Summer.

We offer unique and personalized guided hiking experiences. These hiking trips will be geared to the group’s needs and wants and will only be available throughout the Summer and early Fall.

The terrain around Engadine is suitable for both beginner and expert hikers of all ages.

The guided interpretive programs combine participation and camaraderie with environmental education. The lodge’s guides are knowledgeable of the environment and have a base level of first aid training.

Hikes will be chosen from the following:

Chester Lake and Three Lakes Valley, 9.6km return to Chester Lake, 310m height gain, 2220m at the lake. Add 2.2 km each way to Three Lakes Valley tarn and 240 added height gain

Burstall Pass, 16km return, 472m height gain, 2380 at high point;

Rummel Lake, 10km return, 350m height gain, 2217m at high point;

Tryst Lake, 6km return, 260m height gain, 2150m at high point;

Buller Pass, 13km return, 671 m height gain, 2484 m high point;

Karst Spring, 8.8km return;

Watridge Lake, 7.6km return;

There are lots more hikes to choose from and we will gear all hikes to the desire of the groups.
