Moose Suite

The Moose Suite is one of our two suites. It is the largest and most luxurious accommodation at the lodge, featuring vaulted ceilings and large windows overlooking the meadow and mountains.

Moose suite features a queen-sized bed, a cozy sitting area with a pullout sofa bed and a fireplace, a small dining table and chairs, a private ensuite bathroom with shower, plus a private balcony to enjoy the mountain views.

Please note that stairs are used to access this suite. Moose suite rates are based on dual occupancy, with meals included for both guests.

Elk Suite (Pet-Friendly)

The Elk Suite is one of two spacious, well-appointed suites in our main lodge. It is a spacious suite with large windows and a private balcony to enjoy the serene meadow and mountain views, plus a sitting area with a fireplace and a pullout sofa bed. It features a queen-size bed and private ensuite bathroom with shower.

Elk suite is our only pet-friendly lodge room, with a separate entrance from the main lodge common areas. (See our pet policy for more information.)

Elk suite rates are based on dual occupancy, with meals included for both guests.

Owl Room

The Owl Room is our largest lodge room, featuring a king-sized bed and a small sitting area. As a corner room, it features two bright windows with exceptional views of the meadow as well as Burstall and Commonwealth mountains.

The Owl room has a comfortable king-sized bed which, with advance notice, can be converted into two twin beds.

Please note that stairs are used to access this room. Owl room rates are based on dual occupancy, with meals included for both guests.

WiFi & Cell Service

As a remote and eco-conscious resort, Wi-Fi and cell service are limited and are only available in the main lodge and lodge rooms. We do not offer TVs or phones in the rooms, and we encourage guests to unplug.

My wife and I stayed in the Birdwood cabin for two evenings and it was perfect. The views were incredible and the amenities in the cabin were very comfortable. The service and food were world class. The staff took pride in their work and were a great team. The drinks were creative and tasty and the coffee was some of the best we’ve evrr had. It was an amazing place to stay and we highly recommend it.

 Verified Smith's stay Excellent Lodge and a wonderful staff. From Breakfast - Bagged Lunch - Dinner was exceptional, the food was phenomenal. There are great hikes minutes away from this Lodge, the scenery is spectacular and to top it off Kananaskis is a beautiful place to visit. We will be back again for sure...best ever!

 Verified Favorite place in the Kananaskis The Lodge is easily our favorite place in the Kananaskis. From easy check in, afternoon tea, charcuterie and apple pie, delicious 3 course dinners, beautiful patio with expansive views of local mountains and wildlife, nice lodge rooms, comfy bed, great shower, tasty breakfast made to order and delicious sandwiches to go - what more can you ask for. And now there's also sauna and communal fire pit. All the food and cocktails were delicious and staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We will be back.

I was here as a local doing a photography tour with my business Owl Eye Photography. It was a reccomendation to my client. The service and staff are unreal. We saw a moose with her baby in the morning. I love the consistent lunch menu and breakfeast fixtures, as well tea time snacks. We had a new breakfeast and dinner each day. The chief Matt has to prepare for all staff and guests on a weekly basis, that takes alot of skill and planning. Sauna is from 10-6. I understand the hours around food, it would be nice to have a evening sauna as its very hot in the day. I wonder if there is a system that could be made around that efficiency. Kananaskis is a magical place and the staff and business do alot to make sure everyone is comfortable. We had our heater not work after the first night, I reccomend double checking this so you can be warm. Even in summer you can freeze ! They were really helpful organizing a solution here. This is my biggest reccomendation to clients coming for their Elopements, Weddings, Hiking.

We were positively thrilled to stay at Engadine Lodge June 28-30. The food was amazing, the staff were excellent and the scenery was incredible! We stayed in a 1 bedroom cabin (Burstall), which was super cozy. Our stay was only supposed to be one night, but due to excessive rain and snow run-off, highway 742 experienced several rock and mud slides, effectively leaving the roads impassable and the guests at Engadine stranded for an extra day and a half. The kindness, compassion and generosity of the manager (Rai) to guests and to the back country travelers and cyclists who arrived at the lodge with no place else to go was exceptional. Rai and the entire staff took care of everyone and kept the vibe of Engadine Lodge upbeat and safe. It was an amazing experience and a lovely place to be stranded.  Verified Fabulous foodie getaway Secluded mountain getaway with amazing food - perfect for our 25 anniversary celebration. The afternoon charcuterie is epic. When I was there, there was an encounter with a bear, but despite that, we had a nice stay. The food wasn't entirely to our taste. Breakfast with fried potatoes and tomato isn't really our thing. Fortunately, there were some other things to eat at breakfast. Friendly staff!

My husband and I ended up at this lodge after being lost for about 1.5-2 hours and empty on gas at around 945pm, while there was a wedding taking place. The woman working at the lodge, who was also the wedding planner (?) was soooo kind to us and let us use the WiFi and the landline so we could call for help. Thank you soo much!! We are grateful for your help and are safely back in Toronto. We are hoping to come back and stay at this lodge whenever we visit Banff again 😄
